Your role and responsibilities
As a Field Marketing Professional for Technology aligned to IBM's Data Platform covering the US Horizon Midwest Market, you will combine deep knowledge of clients, their buying behaviors, and market trends to drive business outcomes. You will leverage this expertise to orchestrate and deliver marketing campaigns that accelerate buyer journeys and revenue growth.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate across marketing functions to connect demand generation, product, content, ABM and event marketing plans with sales teams to generate and progress pipeline, attract new clients/partners to IBM's Data Platform portfolio, and increase client loyalty and retention.
- Orchestrate the different marketing disciplines with sales to make sure we are creating compelling marketing tactics that resonate with client/partner needs and address pipeline gaps.
- Lead with audience and market expertise to accelerate pipeline growth.
- Collaborate with Sales: Participate in sales cadence meetings to analyze pipeline gaps, identify root causes, and define corrective actions to accelerate growth, leveraging data and account insights.
- Contribute to RLM Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of regional and local marketing events, including seller enablement and post-event follow-up actions.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Distinguished written and oral communication skills; the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to tailor core messaging to specific client and partner audiences to drive meaningful conversations within a marketing program.
- Experience in working together with Sales, familiarity with sales pipeline, progression and yield, and forecast concepts to drive growth.
- Demonstrate personal knowledge of client and partner personas for IBM's Data Platform portfolio with a clear point of view on aligned audience need.
- Demonstrate clear ability to execute a variety of marketing programs and the operational workflows and details that support them (primarily events).
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Working Knowledge of Emerging Growth Areas: Exposure to identifying and capitalizing on emerging growth areas e.g., AI to inform route-to-market design and GTM enablement.
• Data Analysis and Insights: Experience working with data and account insights to analyze pipeline gaps, identify root causes, and define corrective actions to accelerate growth.
• Post-Event Follow-up Actions: Exposure to planning and executing post-event follow-up actions to maximize the impact of regional and local marketing events to see ROI from those investments.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
