About the Team: As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will be part of a diverse team of quality professionals who work to ensure that the quality of purchased goods meet all customer requirements. You will work with colleagues from North America, Europe, and Asia to collaborate on issues relating to supplier quality.
What you can look forward to as a Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Performing activities for supplier management through the achievement of all ZF specified deliverables related to product quality.
- Ensuring compliance with external supplier KPI's relevant to product quality and durability.
- Ensuring conformance to all ZF specifications and standards applying proper APQP and PPAP methodologies according to ZF, AIAG, VDA, and IATF standards to Direct Suppliers and Sub Suppliers.
- Effectively developing the supplier using core quality tools as it relates to Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA development, Control Plan Development, MSA, SPC, and Control Charts.
- Effectively leading and participating in all activities related to customer and internal complaints utilizing all problem-solving tools as it relates to 8D methodologies.
- Conducting and leading Supplier Audits as it relates to pre sourcing, IATF, VDA, AIAG, and ZF specific audits.
- Effectively interpreting and communicating manufacturing and technical specifications to the supplier.
- Triggering additional escalation levels as needed to protect internal and external customer.
Your Profile as a Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in the quality field.
- ISO/TS 16949 knowledge required.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule multiple daily tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge/Experience in utilizing Process Flow Charts, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
- Knowledge/Experience in AIAG quality core tools.
- Knowledge/Experience in using dimensional and material test equipment.
