As State Management Sr Analyst, you’ll provide analytical support and project leadership to help State Managers achieve strategic goals. With limited oversight, you’ll gather, compile, and analyze financial and performance data to identify trends and opportunities. You’ll participate in project work, prepare standard and ad hoc reporting, and contribute to initiatives that position products for profitable growth. Your work will include implementing processes related to financial planning, rate reviews, market development, and communication. You’ll support regional and corporate objectives through ongoing analysis and monitoring of results to ensure alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Performs analysis and provides recommendations to State Management.Works independently,identifyingmultiple inputs,variablesand using business knowledge to fully consider the situation and provide a robust analysis and deployment recommendation. Applies judgment, understanding, and curiosity to data to develop effective recommendations.
- Providesrate revision support, including attending meetings, completing checklists, completinganalyses.
- Reviewscompetitor filings andcollectinput from the field about competitor changes.Consolidatesand reportsoninformation.
- Reviewsmonthly Profit & Loss statements and other monthly reports, working with State Managers, toidentifyroot causes for variances and emerging trends.
- Monitorsand reportson progress toward financial goals (Growth, CR, LR, Retention).
- Identifiestrends and changes needed to ensure profitable growth.
- Workswith State Managers to implement state-specific strategies to meet or exceed profit and growth targets.
- Monitorsfinancial results, quoting activity, and conversionrate.
- Supportsstate manager with quarterly stateforecastreviews.
- Communicates results effectively and in a professional manner.
- Understandshow source data impacts reporting and analysis
- Coordinatesandfacilitatecommunication across functions.
- Completesad hoc requests for the State Managers ina timelyfashion.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Sr State Product Manager - Personal Lines or State Product Manager - Personal Lines. Individual contributor role.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, economics, finance, accounting, business administration or related field preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Progress toward CPCU, AU CIC, INS ARM, Actuarial exams or similar designations preferred.
Experience: Three years of experience in property and casualty insurance or related area and experience with data analysis preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of analytical tools, basic knowledge of core business functions, underwriting standard methodologies, performance measurement techniques, and systems required. Basic knowledge of related pricing, marketing, company operations and products. Strong business software solutions skills utilizing the Microsoft Office suite. Ability to analyze data, identify underlying issues, devise alternative solutions, select most appropriate action and follow through to completion. Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to collaborate with internal and external contacts. Ability to organize and present detailed analysis, information and concepts. Ability to prioritize own work/time.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner. Depending on level, the approvers may change.

The national salary range for Sr State Product Analyst - Personal Lines : $62,500.00-$115,500.00
The expected starting salary range for Sr State Product Analyst - Personal Lines : $62,500.00 - $93,500.00
