Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) – PAWS of Coronado
Schedule: Saturday- Wednesday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Coronado, CA
Employment Type: Full-time
Rate of Pay: Based on experience $30.00 - $32.00

Certification renewals (e.g., DEA, humane euthanasia) – case-by-case approval

Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled care for shelter animals
Assist the veterinarian with medical, diagnostic, and surgical procedures
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
Perform diagnostic testing and sample collection
Monitor anesthesia and recovery
Maintain accurate medical records
Educate clients on preventive care and Fear Free handling
Support veterinary assistants and volunteers
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
Animal transport as needed, valid drivers license a must 
 
Qualifications:
Current California RVT license (required)
Minimum 2 year of animal handling experience 
Strong technical and communication skills, attention to detail 
Commitment to Fear Free principles (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
Passion for shelter medicine and community animal welfare
