Holland Law Office, P.C. is a longstanding consumer bankruptcy practice serving Northern Colorado. We file approximately 200 Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases annually, supported by disciplined workflows, strong client communication systems, and a reputation for accuracy, compassion, and trustee ready filings. We are seeking a Managing Bankruptcy Attorney to lead legal operations, oversee case quality, and guide a small, experienced team.
This role is ideal for a bankruptcy attorney who enjoys hands on practice, high volume efficiency, and direct influence over firm systems and strategy.
Position Overview
The Managing Bankruptcy Attorney will supervise all legal work in the firm, ensure compliance with the Bankruptcy Code and local Colorado procedures, and maintain high standards for petition accuracy, means test analysis, and Chapter 13 plan feasibility. This role includes direct client representation, staff oversight, and strategic management of a consumer focused practice.
This is an in person position in Loveland, Colorado.
Core Responsibilities
Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters, including §341 meetings, motions, objections, plan confirmations, and hearings.
Review and approve petitions, schedules, SOFAs, means tests, reaffirmation agreements, and Chapter 13 plans.
Oversee case managers and support staff; maintain workflow discipline and quality control.
Ensure trustee ready filings and maintain strong professional relationships with Colorado trustees and court staff.
Conduct case strategy reviews, troubleshoot complex means test issues, and ensure timely responses to trustee requests.
Maintain compliance with Colorado ethics rules and supervise staff under Rules 5.1 and 5.3.
Participate in firm level planning, process improvement, and operational decision making.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Colorado law license.
Minimum 1-2 years of consumer bankruptcy experience (Chapter 7 and Chapter 13).
Strong understanding of meanstest analysis, plan feasibility, and trustee expectations.
Experience managing a highvolume caseload with accuracy and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to clientcentered practice.
Ability to supervise staff and maintain consistent workflow standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior supervisory or management experience.
Familiarity with NextChapter, Best Case, or similar bankruptcy software.
Experience with highvolume consumer practices and structured workflows.
Strong analytical skills for complex meanstest scenarios and Chapter 13 strategy.
