Humber River Health Foundation is entering a pivotal and exciting stage of growth –

We are seeking a high-performing Manager, Annual Fund to play a central role in building and scaling a modern, results-driven annual fund program.

donor engagement, and the future trajectory of the Foundation.
About the Role & Working Style:
As Manager, Annual Fund, you will lead a dynamic portfolio of direct response fundraising programs, with clear accountability for revenue performance, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
You’ll take the lead on key programs—including A Star is Born, Gift of Gratitude, Staff Fundraising, and Tribute Giving—while working with agency partners to deliver high-performing, integrated campaigns.
This is a role for someone who wants to build, grow, and make things better – not just maintain the status quo.
You’ll operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where ideas are encouraged, performance is valued, and results matter.
What You’ll Do
Own annual fund revenue targets and play a key role in driving year-over-year growth
Lead and evolve integrated direct response campaigns, anchored in strong direct mail campaigns, enhanced through digital channels
Strengthen and scale core annual fund programs to increase participation, revenue, and impact
Develop strategies to grow and engage donor audiences, including acquisition, retention, and reactivation
Lead audience segmentation and targeting to deliver more personalized, effective campaigns
Drive lead generation efforts to expand the Foundation’s donor base and future pipeline
Partner with agency experts to develop strategy, creative, and execution — pushing for strong performance and continuous improvement
Leverage digital channels as a powerful extension of direct response, to enhance reach and results
Apply data, testing, and performance insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI
Explore and apply AI-enabled and innovative approaches to strengthen targeting, personalization, and performance
Who You Are:
A driven and results-oriented annual fund or direct response professional who thrives in a growth environment
Proven in delivering strong results through direct response campaigns, particularly direct mail
Analytical and curious, with a strong instinct for what drives performance
Comfortable owning outcomes, making decisions, and pushing for better results
Experienced in managing agencies and working collaboratively to deliver high-quality work
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with confidence
Energized by the opportunity to build, improve, and make a visible impact
Interested in how digital tools and emerging technologies can enhance fundraising performance

Requirements
EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES & CAPABILITIES
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in annual giving, direct response fundraising, or performance-based marketing roles.
Demonstrated success managing and optimizing direct response campaigns (direct mail and digital) with measurable revenue results.
Experience in audience segmentation, donor acquisition, and lead generation strategies.
Experience managing external agencies, with ability to provide strategic direction and hold partners accountable.
Proven ability to independently manage a portfolio of programs and deliver against revenue targets.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Experience leveraging or exploring data-driven and AI-enabled tools is an asset.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Results-oriented, proactive, and highly accountable.
Experience in nonprofit or healthcare fundraising is an asset.
