FULL TIME POSITION MAINTENANCE LABORER PEABODY HOUSING AUTHORITY The Peabody Housing Authority is seeking to fill a full-time position of Maintenance Laborer starting on or about May 4, 2026. Ideal Candidates would have experience in driving a dump truck with a trailer and small engine preventative maintenance and repair. Candidates should also have experience operating and maintaining large commercial landscape equipment. At least 1 year of professional landscaping experience is preferred. Duties consist of heavy exterior and interior cleaning and upkeep of grounds and units for approximately 500 units across the City of Peabody. Emptying trash, pruning trees and shrubs, raking and reseeding lawns, snow and ice removal and lifting heavy objects. Cleaning and preparing vacant dwelling units for re-occupancy. Must possess valid Mass. Drivers License and have a good driving record. Must pass wellness physical, including drug/alcohol and CORI (Criminal Offender Record) screening. Salary is based on Department of Labor Standards wage rates. The hourly rate is $32.38. This is a 40 hour work week with full fringe benefits (health/dental/life insurance, retirement, deferred comp Smart Plan).
