Position: Junior High Principal
FTE: 1.0
Notes: 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR
The position of Junior High Principal is done for the purpose/s of maintaining overall school site operations; receiving, distributing, and communicating information to enforce school, District and State policies; maintaining safety of school environment; coordinating site activities; communicating information to staff; and addressing situations, problems and/or conflicts.
Job Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members.
Fosters and develops a positive school culture and effective learning environment.
Engages parents and community members in supporting a positive, welcoming school environment, supportive of all students.
Maintains student safety and handles special cases as necessary.
Evaluates certificated and classified staff members.
Participates on committees pertinent to the operation of the district.
Conducts employee investigations as appropriate.
Maintains appropriate school resources such as budget and staffing
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Educational Administration.
Five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher is required.
Experience as an Assistant Principal or Principal preferred.
Valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator required.
In Addition to base pay for administrators:
4 days personal leave cash out at per diem (in June if elected)
10 days of vacation cash out at per diem (in January or June if elected)
$150 cell phone stipend (paid monthly)
