Overview

Part-time position working inside and outside the golf shop assisting guests with tee times, merchandise, and facility information. Afternoons and weekends required.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends, holidays, and golf season, as needed.

Experience Required

• Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter
• Must acquire basic computer knowledge
• Must have strong customer/guest orientation
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in any type of weather
• Must be available to work extended hours during golf and holiday season
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance
• Provide sincere and courteous service to all golfers with items such as bag handling and club cleaning
• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
• Collect green and cart fees and other revenue from guests and process in the point-of-sale (POS) system as trained
• Issue receipts for guest purchases
• Take messages for staff or guests
• Assist in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations supplies
• Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at closing
• Perform clean-up and closing procedures
• Direct start of play when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of rental clubs and carts
• Assist with food and beverage activities
• Perform beginning of day set up and end of day tasks as necessary
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
