Description
Papago Golf Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Golf Shop Attendant to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for many guests, this role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional public golf experience that reflects the energy and pride of Papago Golf Club. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, knowledgeable about the game of golf, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Operations:
• Greet guests in a welcoming and professional manner
• Check in golfers, manage tee sheets, and process payments accurately
• Provide information regarding course policies, rates, programs, and events
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and inquiries
• Assist with tournament and event check-in when needed
Retail & Merchandising:
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing golf shop
• Assist guests with merchandise selection and product knowledge
• Process retail transactions using point-of-sale systems
• Receive, tag, and restock inventory
• Support promotional displays and seasonal merchandising efforts
Daily Club Operations:
• Coordinate with outside services staff to ensure smooth tee time flow
• Communicate course conditions and updates to guests
• Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of the golf shop
• Assist with junior programs, leagues, and club events as needed
Qualifications:
• Previous golf course or retail experience preferred (but not required)
• Knowledge of golf terminology and etiquette
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using POS systems and tee sheet software
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
