General Purpose

Responsibilities at the Analyst Level:
- Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial results variance analyses to budget.
- Assist with preparation, documentation and submission of monthly forecasts, including gathering data and analysis of related income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet movements.
- Prepare internal documentation and memos summarizing financial results and forecasts.
- Collaborate with business unit partners on summarization of capital financial results and forecasts to report financial and operational performance variances against target including trend analysis and interpretation of movements in key performance indicators.
- Assist in activities related to the Company's capital asset accounting including preparation of journal entries and accruals, review of construction overhead activities, and direct activities related to asset specific internal controls.
- Develop and prepare ad hoc financial analyses and written reports as requested.
- Assist with development of the annual business plan; including business unit coordination, data verification and completeness for assigned sections and summarization of analysis and related information for effective presentation.
- Assist in response to data requests from auditors, regulation, and other ad hoc assignments.
- Support the preparation of customer billings for construction activities.
- Track maintenance and capital work for settlement on joint-owner assets.
- Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, business processes, and contract activities.
- Assist in the management of transmission contracts and agreements and ensure proper financial reporting.
- Research and analyze customer usage data and address and resolve data problems for accurate customer billing.
- Prepare and review monthly billing involving complex spreadsheets.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and disputes as they arise.
Additional Responsibilities at the Specialist level:
- Support the annual business planning process by coordinating with business partners, validating inputs, and consolidating submissions for leadership review.
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) to support forecasts and the business plan.
- Prepare and submit monthly forecasts, including assumption documentation, driver updates, and variance explanations versus prior forecast, plan, and actuals.
- Develop forecast and plan reporting that highlights key drivers, risks, and opportunities; communicate results and recommended actions to stakeholders.
- Maintain forecast and plan support files (assumptions, drivers, reconciliations, and data sources) to ensure transparency and auditability.
- Improve FP&A forecasting and planning processes (calendar, templates, and data validation) to increase consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Perform ad hoc scenario and sensitivity analysis to support leadership decisions; summarize impacts and recommendations in clear, concise deliverables.

Requirements at the Analyst level:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of four years of experience with financial analysis and modeling, including cash flow and balance sheet modeling.
- Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Experience in business planning and forecasting, with knowledge of related concepts, practices and techniques.
- Ability to analyze complex transactions, their accounting treatment and financial statement implications.
- Proficient with personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation applications to gather, analyze, model and present information.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior and interactions.
- Ability to work with all organizational levels, and to influence actions and negotiate outcomes.
Additional Requirements at the Specialist level:
- A minimum of five years' experience in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Ability to analyze complex transactions, their accounting treatment and financial statement implications.
- A strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills include the ability to establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior and interactions.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means.
- Proficient with the use of personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data.
Preferences
- Advanced degree and/or CPA designation.
- General understanding of utility economics and accounting Experience in accounting information systems.
- Experience in SAP Financial Systems modules.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 12.00% of salary.
