Description
KONEC USA LLC is hiring a Cost Planner (Houston, TX) to be responsible for the following:
- Analyze past usage trends to estimate and plan costs of materials and production.
- Align procurement and production cost plans to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Identify potential threats to supply costs and mitigate the risk.
- Track costs related to supplier lead times and monitor inbound shipments.
- Coordinate daily and weekly tasks for operators, ensuring adherence to estimates and plans.
- Assess material handling operations and First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices to maintain accuracy and cost efficiency in stock rotation.
- Perform weekly cost estimating and reporting activities, including cost analysis, production output, sales performance, and workforce utilization metrics.
- Create monthly cost monitoring and reporting processes to support profit and loss statements, executive summaries, and inventory reconciliation.
- Develop annual production cost planning strategy, aligning team objectives with company goals to optimize resource allocation, production efficiency, and operational excellence.
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related.
Position requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis or 6 months of experience involving the following:
1. Production cost planning and operational cost
2. Accounting principles and use of accounting tools
3. Data Analytical Skills – Interpret data, identify trends, and ensure accuracy of forecasts.
4. Statistics – Require informed decision-making based on performance metrics and predictive modeling.
5. Deep understanding of inventory costs and ability to coordinate between outside suppliers.
