| Position Summary | The position of Assistant Director for Residential Education has the primary responsibility for the building management and the programming model for Resident Assistants (RA) within our residence halls. This position is tasked to develop and support the education and community environment in the residence halls through program development, coordination and supervision of four professional staff within the residence life program. This position is expected to foster healthy environments for learning and social interaction that promote and model teamwork and establishment of inclusive, supportive, collaborative, service-oriented, multicultural environments. The position participates in the leadership of the department including program and protocol development, professional staff selection and training and evaluation, budget responsibilities and programmatic assessment. The Assistant Director is a member of the Residence Life Leadership Team. |

| Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be between $61,620 and $69,326, but may be negotiated above this range dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. An excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
