The Arc of Central Alabama is seeking Board Certified Behavior Analysts!
The Arc of Central Alabama serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families through comprehensive and quality programming, advocacy efforts, education, and awareness, all to ensure that each person served can reach their fullest potential for the most independent life possible.
Join our growing Behavior Support Department! We follow a consultative training model in which you and department RBTs work collaboratively with intellectually disabled adults, their families, direct service professionals, and others to teach prosocial replacement behavior for aggression, self-injury, and other dangerous behavior. We provide a supportive and flexible environment where BCBAs have professional development opportunities. You will have opportunities to collaborate with BCBAs with experience serving various populations and gain research and academic mentorship.

Salary: $72,500 - $85,000, depending on experience.
Job Duties:
- Provide behavior analytic services to intellectually disabled adults
- Conduct assessments (e.g., functional behavior, preference, and skills assessments)
- Develop and update behavior support plans (BSPs)
- Train direct service professionals on BSP implementation and data collection
- Maintain accurate records and data collection (behavior, sleep, and medication effects)
- Evaluate BSP effectiveness (based on data, progress notes, and regular direct observation)
- Facilitate communication between residential and day programs; maintain contact with families of people served
- Complete documentation as required
- Assist with psychiatric clinic; provide information to psychiatrists as needed
- Attend meetings, training, and in-services as required
- Perform additional related duties as assigned

Schedule:

Supplemental pay: Sign-on bonus of up to $5,000
Willingness to travel:
25% (Preferred)
Travel is generally restricted to group homes and day treatment facilities in Jefferson and Blount counties in Central Alabama.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires frequent standing, walking, hand dexterity, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, and listening
- Employee is occasionally required to sit
- Employee must frequently lift and move more than 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception
