KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Finance & Accounting- Federal Services to join our CFO team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and report the annual budget/plan with input from practice engagement teams; develop and input the Fed Finance and Accounting annual budget, and reforecasts with input from the Fed Controller
Lead and develop complex data analysis of engagement performance and monthly/YTD financial results; conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on engagement initiatives
Solicit monthly revenue estimates from engagement teams to monitor against plan and reforecast; develop weekly hours forecasts and a ninety-day fee revenue forecast for Advisory Leadership
Prepare monthly financial briefs for Audit and Advisory leadership; conduct weekly and monthly financial assessments and generate reports for submission to the senior leadership team
Support strategic financial decisions that will promote long-term financial gain; provide ad hoc analytical support
Establish and participate in practice-wide training initiatives for engagement teams; manage and provide ongoing training to engagement team personnel to support PMO initiatives
Implement, train, and support new technology related to the annual budgeting and financial monitoring process
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
Minimum ten years of recent experience supporting government clients across a range of services, with strong expertise across all accounting and finance disciplines, as well as a track record of developing, leading, and directing cross-functional teams
Minimum seven years of recent experience in accounting, reporting, and budgeting experience in a federal contracting environment, with excellent analytical skills to build financial models and management reports
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Proven experience developing bottom-up budgets and forecasts for large, complex organizations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) and ERP platforms such as SAP and Deltek Costpoint
Experience with enterprise reporting/BI systems; Business Objects preferred; familiarity with Cognos, Hyperion, and Oracle
