This role is for an internship in Summer 2026. The Internship is expected to start on Tuesday, May 26th with an end date of Friday, July 31st. Candidates must be available to start and end on these days.

Your role and responsibilities

As an IBM Marketing Analytics Intern, you'll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic IBM Marketing business challenge. You will have the opportunity to focus on uncovering, synthesizing, and applying analytic insights that drive both strategic and tactical outcomes for the company and directly guide marketing execution. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. Between project work and intern programming, you'll get to touch a variety of areas within Marketing. At the end of program, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your final outcomes to a large audience of Marketing Leaders and Practitioners across the organization. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.

This internship would support our Marketing Analytics team. This team is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing our paid media, marketing automation, and performance intelligence activities to deliver value to our business. As an intern on this team, you could be involved in helping answer analytics questions and helping to further business objectives in one or more of these areas:

• Optimizing paid media campaigns and tactics to increase relevance of the IBM brand and drive demand for priority products
• Analyzing, designing, and enhancing omni-channel audience journeys to serve our prospective clients relevant and personalized content in the right place at the right time
• Driving innovation at the intersection of marketing and AI, through generative AI for content creation, process automation for enhanced productivity, and more

This role is based in New York City. We work in a hybrid environment. This position will be required to come into the office at least three days per week.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Currently enrolled in an accredited University
• Available for an internship in Summer 2026
• Rising senior for the 2026-2027 school year
• Passionate about marketing, data, analytics, or a related field
• Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• A strategic, consultative, data-driven mindset
• SQL, Excel, Python, R for data analysis

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Basic knowledge of marketing, communications, data analytics, or related area
• Basic market research skills
• Basic knowledge of how to leverage data to tell a story
• Tableau, Excel, PowerBI, Cognos for data visualization
