Description

The Department of Public Services is looking for an individual to fill a position with our Public Works.  This full-time AFSCME union position performs responsible public works constructions and maintenance work involving the safe and efficient operation of various types of tools, light equipment, and special power driven equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Public Works Superintendent and direction of the Crew Leader.

Requirements

        Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

        Must possess a valid driver’s license.

        Ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with the public and other employees.

        Ability to work with or without close supervision.

        Ability to follow both written and verbal direction.  

        Ability to interpret and follow oral and written directions.

        Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner.

Candidates must successfully complete an interview process, background investigation, and physical exam with drug test.
