This is a 16 week Co-Op position for actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate university students who are graduating between May 2027 and May 2028. Must be eligible and available for full time work (40 hours a week) during fall semester 2026. Students should not be enrolled in classes while working this Co-op.

Your role and responsibilities
As a Technology Sales intern, you'll blend technical curiosity with business problem‑solving. You'll help validate solutions, run hands‑on demos, and support sales teams as they work with clients across industries.
The Co-op program is designed to give students first-hand exposure and hands-on experience with IBM's high-tech sales teams, a fast-paced, AI-led, performance-based culture. The activities they participate in will support customer-facing sales roles:
- Build foundational prospecting and cold-calling skills
- Learn how to engage customers and identify new opportunities
- Apply technical knowledge during demos and POCs
- Work alongside senior sellers to understand the full sales cycle
- Gain experience using modern RevTech tools
- Introduction to sales methodologies and strategies around forecasting and pipeline management
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and business leaders
- Contribute to opportunities that ultimately help drive revenue
- Bring curiosity and a growth mindset to learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- We're looking for students who enjoy working with people, solving problems, and learning new technologies.
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student and available for full‑time work (40 hours/week) during Fall 2026.
- Not enrolled in classes during the co‑op period.
- Working toward a B.S. or M.S. in: Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Interested in Selling
- Motivated by learning new technology and applying it to real‑world challenges, believing skills grow with effort and persistence
- Strong communication skills—you can explain ideas clearly and keep people engaged.
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., chatbots, AI‑search, productivity tools) to explore information and solve problems.
- Take initiative, seeking opportunities, and going above and beyond to add value.
- Manage time and responsibilities effectively and independently.
- Collaborate well with others, support teammates, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Exposure to digital selling tools or revenue technology platforms.
- Experience presenting, teaching, or demoing technology (classroom, club, project, tutoring, etc.).
- Experience working with sales development reps, marketing teams, or customer‑facing roles.

OTHER RELEVANT JOB DETAILS
Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
