Introduction
As a TLS Intern, you will support the Technology Lifecycle Services (TLS) team in driving renewals and expansions across IBM's client portfolio. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in sales strategy, client engagement, and internal collaboration within a global technology company.
Your role and responsibilities
You will work closely with experienced professionals to:
• Assist in account planning and stakeholder coordination for TLS renewals and expansions.
• Support the identification of opportunities for service uplift, expansion, and winback.
• Collaborate with internal IBM teams such as Brand Sales Specialists, Deal Makers, Ecosystem Sales Specialists, and Customer Success Managers.
• Learn to use IBM sales tools and CRM systems to track and manage opportunities.
• Participate in client conversations under guidance, helping to prepare materials and follow-ups.
Learning Objectives
• Gain exposure to IBM's Technology Lifecycle Services portfolio and understand its value proposition.
• Develop foundational skills in sales execution, pipeline management, and client relationship building.
• Learn how to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities in a technology sales environment.
• Understand IBM's licensing terms, support offerings, and competitive differentiators.
Required education
Associate's Degree/College Diploma
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in technology, business, or sales.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Basic understanding of business operations and customer service principles.
• Currently enrolled in a university program (Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields).
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Familiarity with IBM products or enterprise technology (a plus, not required).
• Analytical mindset and curiosity to explore data-driven insights.

OTHER RELEVANT JOB DETAILS
Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
