Overview

The Lead Golf Instructor is an independent contractor responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality golf instruction programs while serving as a professional representative of the club. This role plays a key part in enhancing the golfer experience, driving instructional revenue, maintaining an organized and welcoming practice facility, and promoting the club's brand, values, and culture.

The Lead Golf Instructor will manage all lesson-based programming, coordinate clinics and group instruction, assist with driving range operations and maintenance standards, and collaborate closely with club management to grow participation in instructional offerings.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Golf Instruction

• Serve as the primary and lead instructor for all individual and group lessons
• Develop, promote, and deliver private lessons, group lessons, junior programs, and specialty clinics
• Design instructional programs that accommodate golfers of all skill levels
• Track lesson participation and provide regular feedback to management on program performance
• Maintain professional teaching standards aligned with industry best practices

Clinics & Player Development

• Plan and execute seasonal golf clinics, camps, and player development programs
• Collaborate with management on scheduling, pricing, and promotion of clinics
• Actively engage with golfers to encourage participation in instructional offerings

Driving Range Oversight & Maintenance

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized driving range environment
• Ensure practice areas are properly set up for lessons and clinics
• Monitor practice tee conditions and communicate needs or concerns to management
• Support range etiquette and safety standards during instruction and peak usage

Club Representation & Member/Guest Engagement

• Serve as a visible ambassador of the club, fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere
• Build strong relationships with members, guests, and the local golf community
• Promote the club's instructional programs through positive interaction and word-of-mouth
• Uphold the club's policies, service standards, and brand image at all times

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with the General Manager and golf operations staff
• Participate in planning meetings related to instruction, events, or player development
• Provide insight and recommendations to enhance instructional offerings and golfer engagement
