You’ll design infographics, executive-ready slide decks, and visual summaries that help simplify complex information. This internship is built for a strong graphic designer who knows how to make data clear, compelling, and executive-ready. This role sits within insights, analytics, and operations within the Office of Culture & Talent Acquisition.
What You’ll Do
- Design infographics, visual summaries, and one‑page data stories using existing datasets
- Create polished, executive-ready PowerPoint slides that communicate insights clearly and simply
- Design visuals that support dashboards, reporting, and internal communications
- Collaborate with analytics partners to enhance layout, clarity, and visual hierarchy
- Apply brand standards consistently while pushing creative boundaries where appropriate
- Own multiple design deliverables end-to-end-from intake conversations through final output
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback and iterate quickly to meet fast turnaround times
- Translate complex datasets into visual stories that support enterprise decision-making
- Contribute to high-visibility presentations used by senior leaders
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated graphic design experience through coursework, internships, or a digital portfolio
- Strong PowerPoint skills with a sharp eye for layout, hierarchy, spacing, and storytelling
- Experience with Illustrator or similar design tools
- Ability to turn dense or complex information into clear, simple visual narratives
- Comfort designing from existing data and direction
- High attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and comfort receiving iterative feedback
- Applicants are encouraged to include a digital portfolio (infographics, slides, data visuals, or similar work).
- Coursework in data, communications, marketing, or analytics
- Experience designing for executive or senior leader audiences
- Familiarity with dashboard or reporting environments
- Experience translating insights for non-technical audiences
- Exposure to tools like Figma, Canva, Tableau, or similar modern design platforms
- A creative problem‑solver who loves turning information into visual stories
- Curious about data and how design influences decisions
- Someone who values clarity, simplicity, and strong visual hierarchy
- Adaptable, collaborative, and energized by fast-paced, real-world work

Team: Culture & Talent Acquisition - Insights, Analytics & Operations
Duration: 12 weeks (Summer 2026)
Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
The national hourly pay range for Nationwide Internships is: $23 - $50
