A Brief Overview
The Stagehand Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing the stagehand crew to assign tasks and effectively load in and load out during the show's production while ensuring all safety requirements are met. This position will ensure all events load out smoothly and all equipment are functioning properly during production.
What you will do
- Oversee stagehand crew to efficiently load in and load out during production ensuring safety requirements and timeline are met.
- Assign tasks to crew with assembling/disassembling props, audio and lighting equipment, and other show equipment related to the show's production to ensure operational efficiency and equipment are functioning properly.
- Maintain the stage and work area during events alongside any incoming shows. Ensure all events load out smoothly. Responsible for cleanup, disassembling and removing equipment at the end of show's production.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities and comply with company policies and procedures regarding operational machinery by going through proper safety trainings and training team members on the use of safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Manage crew's time and attendance ensuring appropriate breaks and meals are taken in accordance with local wage and hour laws.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalency
Experience Qualifications
- 2-4 years
- Previous experience with manual labor preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Forklift and heavy machinery certified
- Must have a valid driver's license if venue location requires driving
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in team building
- Must be able to take direction and execute instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Qualifications (ALL)

Payscale: $21 - $23
Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
Benefits: Part-time: This position may be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).
