Washington, a member of NCERT, is a premier, community-centered district providing a collaborative, innovative environment where dedicated staff are supported in fostering student success, character development, and real-world career preparation.  It sits 50 miles west of downtown St. Louis on the southern bank of the Missouri River. It is a large, rural-to-suburban district covering over 250 square miles. 

Position Purpose
To inspire, lead, guide and direct every member of the administrative, instructional, and supportive services teams in setting and achieving the highest standards of excellence in developing and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services, so that each individual student enrolled in the school district will be provided with a complete, valuable, meaningful, and personally rewarding education.
 
To oversee and administer the use of all school district facilities, property, and funds with to ensure that those resources are utilized in an appropriate manner.

Qualifications:

Required:

• At least three years of successful district level leadership experience
• Missouri superintendent licensure/ certificate – must be in process

Preferred:

• Reside in district boundaries
• Strong academic performance background
• Experience leading GO Bond projects
• Relatable communicator
• Public school advocacy experience
• Doctorate Degree
