School Bus Drivers Wanted in Jefferson City

Student Transportation of America is hiring School Bus Drivers to safely transport students to and from school each day on established routes throughout the Jefferson City area. Sign-On Bonuses Available

Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified CDL school bus drivers with experience
Up to $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates without a CDL who complete training

About the Position

School Bus Drivers safely transport students to and from school each day while following established bus routes and schedules. Drivers may also have the opportunity to earn additional income by driving extracurricular activities, field trips, sports events, and charter trips.

Typical schedules include morning and afternoon routes, averaging approximately 20 to 30 hours per week with a daily hour guarantee. This part-time position is ideal for parents, retirees, veterans, or anyone seeking consistent part-time income with a meaningful purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Safely transport students to and from school following established bus routes and schedules
Perform required pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections
Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the school bus
Follow all federal, state, and local transportation safety regulations
Communicate effectively with transportation staff, school officials, and parents when necessary

Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a clean driving record with at least three years of driving experience
Must pass a DOT physical examination
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
Must be eligible to work in the United States without restrictions
