Position Title: Sales Manager Life Sciences & Hygienic Markets (KSB Valves, USA)
Reports to: Valve Sales Manager - North America
SUMMARY
We are seeking a results-oriented Sales Manager Life Sciences & Hygienic Markets to lead and grow sales of KSB industrial valves across the United States with a strategic emphasis on SISTO diaphragm valves in high-purity applications. This role will focus on developing long-term customer relationships, driving new business, and supporting technical valve solutions for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, aseptic food & beverage, and hygienic processing markets.
The ideal candidate combines process market knowledge, technical fluency in valve products, and consultative selling skills to deliver value to customers while meeting revenue targets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Market Development
- Drive profitable sales growth of KSB valves in Life Sciences and hygienic processing markets across the USA.
- Act as the primary sales lead for SISTO diaphragm valves, positioning their value in aseptic, sterile, and high-purity applications.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with OEMs, end users, engineering firms, and system integrators.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast with CRM discipline.
Customer Engagement & Technical Consultation
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers in pharma, biopharma, food beverage, and other hygienic sectors.
- Provide consultative support on valve selection, sizing, materials, and configurations, ensuring fit for critical process requirements.
- Collaborate with technical service, engineering, and application specialists to deliver compelling value-based solutions.
Product Expertise & Training
- Maintain deep expertise on the KSB valve portfolio, including:
- SISTO diaphragm valves
- Control valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, and other hygienic valve technologies
- Educate customers and internal teams on differentiation, standards, and specifications relevant to sanitary and aseptic applications.
- Deliver product presentations, demos, and training (in-person or virtual) to stakeholders.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements in life sciences and hygienic processing sectors.
- Provide feedback to product management on feature requests, emerging needs, and product enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, engineering, and customer support to align sales strategy and deliver seamless service.
- Support proposals, RFQs, and tender responses with accurate technical and commercial input.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Employs a consultative sales methodology focused on identifying customer challenges and delivering effective solutions
- Demonstrates strong technical aptitude and curiosity, enabling confident discussion of complex valve applications
- Upholds and represents the KSB brand with exceptional professionalism, credibility, and integrity
- Proven history of developing and maintaining long-term, strategic customer relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of sales experience in industrial process markets, preferably valves, pumps, or process equipment
- Proven success selling into pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, food beverage, or hygienic processing markets
- Technical understanding of valves and process control equipment; ability to discuss materials, cleanability, surface finishes, and validation requirements
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel domestically to customer sites and industry events
- Experience with diaphragm valve technologies and hygienic applications
- Familiarity with regulatory environments (FDA, USP, GMP) in life sciences
- CRM proficiency and strong forecasting discipline
