Description
Camp Mont Shenandoah, a small, all-around, girls summer camp with an excellent English horseback riding program, seeks a responsible and mature Riding Director for the summer. Duties include:
teaching horseback riding lessons to children of all skill levels,
training, managing, and supervising barn staff,
ensuring that horses are well cared for,
maintaining an equine facility.
Salary commensurate with skill and experience. Housing is available. Dates are mid-June through mid-August. (Exact dates TBD.)

Requirements
The successful candidate will have skill, training, and experience in planning and teaching horseback riding lessons, maintaining an equine facility, and supervising others in an equestrian program.
Additional requirements include:
A desire to work with children.Summer camp experience is a big plus.
An understanding of and ability to follow best and safest equine practices.
Ability to adhere to the Camp's policies and procedures.
Exceptional character and excellent judgement.
Must be honest, reliable, professional, respectful, and kind.
Successfully work independently and as a team member.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
Assist with the supervision of campers during meals and evening programming.
A sense of humor is always helpful!
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Undergo criminal, sex offender registry, and driver background checks.
Work six days a week.
