Indiana University Health's Eagle Highland Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Clinical Specialty Coordinator to lead the Pre-Op and PACU. This critical position focuses on delivering high-quality care to our surgery patient population. This role works day shift, Monday-Friday.

Position Overview:
As the RN Clinical Specialty Coordinator, you will coordinate a specialized service line, leveraging your extensive clinical expertise and judgment to assess and monitor patients' physiological health. In collaboration with the healthcare team, you will develop and execute comprehensive care plans that ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of care for high-acuity patients across the service line, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
- Serve as the clinical expert and strong leader within the unit, actively participating in management and system leadership activities to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain staffing schedules and timecards
- Deliver exceptional patient care when staffing needs arise.
- Develop a core curriculum for the service line in conjunction with the clinical educator and system education teams, overseeing new staff orientation and ongoing education for all team members.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and ensure they meet the needs of the service line.
- Act as a role model and resource for staff, embodying the mission and vision of Indiana University Health in all aspects of patient care and unit operations.
Qualifications:
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Pre-Op/PACU, ER and or ICU experience preferred.
