Description
Plan, direct, and manage all U.S. purchasing activities (excluding raw materials), including finished goods, MRO, and spare parts. Authorize or escalate high-value purchases (up to $1.3 million) and ensure compliance with corporate objectives and budgets. Analyze and promote energy efficiency and tariff improvement in the energetic expense of US purchases. Execute procurement policies as mandated by the global purchasing department of the foreign parent company. Manage imports from Spain, Poland and coordinate with Mexico production plant of parent company. Coordinate transportation and inventory distribution to U.S. manufacturing plants in Melrose Park, IL and Pontiac, IL, and distribution centers in Sumter SC, Denton TX and San Diego, CA. Ensure adherence to all relevant trade, import/export, and customs regulations. Oversee all freight operations, including truck scheduling, intercompany transfers, and international transport logistics to distributors and final customers. Supervise all staff within the Purchasing Department, including hiring, training, development, and termination. 10% Domestic Travel to various worksites
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Organization, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering. Must have: 8 years of experience in international procurement, international operations, and international logistics; 8 years of experience managing large teams, international suppliers, and complex freight systems; and 8 years of experience with SAP, ERP/CRM systems, process automation software, VBA programming, and logistics platforms.
Salary/Benefits: $175,198 per year plus standard company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance; long term disability, Basic Life/AD&D, Additional Life AD&D & Dependent Life Insurance, short-term disability; 40I(k); and paid time off and holidays.
