Description
FEDCON helps businesses of all sizes win federal, state, and local government contracts. We provide registrations, certifications, marketing strategies, and proposal support designed to make our clients stand out and succeed.
We are seeking an experienced, certified Proposal Development Specialist who can support our technical writing initiatives and serve as a general consultant for both our team and clientele. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in government compliance and proposal development, and is comfortable working in a remote environment.
This role offers the opportunity to make a direct and measurable impact by supporting procurement activities and driving client success.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support proposal development for federal, state, and local government solicitations
- Draft, edit, review and refine proposal sections that are clear, compliant, and compelling
- Interpret and extract solicitation requirements and translate complex data, regulations, and technical information into persuasive, cohesive narratives and strategies
- Collaborate with the procurement team, and advisors to develop winning strategies and themes
- Ensure all deliverables align with solicitation instructions, evaluation criteria, and applicable FAR/DFARS provisions
- Support proposal lifecycle activities including outline development, compliance reviews, color team reviews, and final production
Requirements
- APMP Practitioner/Professional
- APMP AI Micro-Certification
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing, or consulting within the government contracting space
- Must be able to provide examples of successful technical writing
- Strong working knowledge of FAR clauses and their practical application to client engagements
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proven ability to take complex requirements or data and translate them into clear, cohesive, persuasive content
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Tech-forward mindset with a willingness to learn new tools quickly; familiarity with AI and government procurement platforms is a plus
- Experience in facility management and construction proposal writing experience is a plus
