Description
GGN is seeking Project Designers with a focus on drawing through ideas and visualizing design options, from concepts through construction detailing.
Project Designers work with project teams to move design ideas forward by being strongly motivated and excellent communicators. This role requires a demonstrated ability to use drawing as a tool to problem solve, both digitally and by hand. We are looking for design-minded folks who are fluent in understanding people and land, spatial design, and how all of this connects through the smallest details. We rely on every individual to take initiative in advancing work from early concepts through technical development and documentation.
GGN is a collaborative design community with a diverse range of projects locally, nationally, and internationally. Our projects involve all aspects of site design, including natural systems, hardscape, plants, soils, irrigation, and site furniture and amenities. We enjoy continuous learning and solving problems through a combination of open-minded listening, rigorous research, and hands-on trial and error in all aspects of our practice.
Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the drive and ability to contribute to a collaborative design environment, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate how they use drawing as a tool to solve problems. 3D modeling skills and aptitude with AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Rhino, and the entire Adobe Suite are required, along with one to three years of professional experience in a design office. Experience with technical documentation is advantageous but not required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
