Teton Valley Ranch Camp — Program Assistant (Seasonal Leadership) | Summer 2026 (2 openings)
TVRC STAFF WILL BE AT ACA NATIONAL IN SAN DEIGO FOR AN OPPERTUNITY TO MEET IN PERSON OR INTERVIEW
Role summary
Program Assistants help run a fun, creative, educational in-camp program and set the tone for enthusiasm, energy, and excellent camper experience. This is a seasonal leadership role—ideal for returning staff with leadership experience (Unit Head, Area Head, etc.) who want to grow in leadership, staff development, and camp programming.
How you fit in
You’re the link between cabin counselors and activity instructors and the full-time team, serving on the summer Leadership Team and reporting to the Program Director.
Key responsibilities
Help prepare program areas pre-season; support smooth daily operations and organization
Coach, train, and give feedback to counselors and program staff throughout the summer
Support scheduling and logistics (daily schedules, time-off scheduling, cabin coverage, etc.)
Assist with ceremonies week planning and execution; jump in to lead activities or cover cabins as needed
Participate fully in camp life (meals, campfires, community); assist in emergencies as part of the camp response team
Employment Dates
Start May 17th, 2026 (or earler if available) and runs through August 21st, 2026
Compensation
Starts at $6,000 with increase based on actual employment dates, experence and relivent certifications
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- Open, outgoing, confident communicator—comfortable making announcements, running meetings, leading campfire, and having productive conversations with campers, staff, and parents
- Prior camp/residential experience preferred; we’re also open to rising leaders who feel ready to step into a leadership position
- Ready to dive in, work hard, and support a positive, high-accountability camp culture
Minimum qualifications
- 21+ years old
- First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive camp vehicles
- Prior camp/residential experience
Schedule / time off
- Full, active camp days (typical day is 7:00am - 10:00pm)
- Time off is typically a 36-hour block each week
