Introduction
Are you ready for more accountability for business results in your next role? As a Product Marketing Manager for IBM Apptio, you will have that responsibility and visibility working alongside a talented cross-functional team. You are the voice of the customer and responsible for messaging & positioning, competitive intelligence, core content & collateral and the product launch moments to jumpstart the sales process. In your work with product management, you will inform the roadmap and ensure we're able to convey the right business value to target personas as we go to market. In your work with corporate marketing and sales you will develop the go-to-market strategy, accelerate velocity, and improve conversion through each stage of the sales process. And in your work with customer success, you will promote adoption and utilization of the latest features and close the loop with documented evidence of success.
Your role and responsibilities
- Ensure customers understand and utilize the business value of Apptio's flagship products
- Develop the go-to-market strategy for your product including levers spanning positioning, packaging, offers, channel, and marketing campaign tactics to drive the business
- Work directly with customers to gather feedback on product, value proposition and messaging and build customer advocacy relationships
- Ensure customer-facing organizations such as marketing, sales, partner, and customer success are properly informed about product details, messaging, sales tools, pricing and release schedules
- Actively evangelize your product to prospects, partners and influencers through all available channels
- Track and report out on product line business results, key insights and strategy to key stakeholders
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Ability to work independently & proactively in a dynamic and aggressive growth environment
- Proven track record delivering outstanding business results for a managed product
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills and ability to communicate complex concepts through crisp and simple storytelling
- Ability to translate conversations with customers, sales, and services to compelling and clear messaging and positioning
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant fields of study such as computer science
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Solid understanding of key business challenges within IT, top IT initiatives, industry forums, groups and buying processes
- Experience with Technology Business Management, IT finance, or finance tools is a plus
- Experience working in a global organization with a remote team
- The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in product marketing or marketing for an Enterprise SaaS B2B solution as well as a good foundational knowledge of the IT market
- AI Experience and knowledge
- MBA is a plus

For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
