Eastlake Veterinary Services is looking to hire a part time Groomer to join our INCREDIBLE team!

At Eastlake Veterinary Services, we offer primary care and grooming for cats and dogs in Denver, Thornton, and Broomfield.

We are a full-service veterinary hospital for your family's dogs and cats. Our clinic offers a full-service pharmacy, wellness exams, grooming, vaccinations, dental care, routine and orthopedic surgeries, on-site digital x-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, and acupuncture treatments. We also provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• 2+ years’ proven experience as a professional pet groomer or completion of a grooming certification program.
• In-depth knowledge of canine and feline coat types, skin conditions, and breed profiles.
• Excellent animal handling skills with a calm, gentle, and patient demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform complete grooming services including bathing, brushing, drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning.
• Execute breed-standard haircuts and styling according to client instructions or established guidelines.
• Safely and humanely restrain pets during grooming procedures.
• Utilize a variety of grooming tools (clippers, scissors, dryers, brushes) proficiently and safely.
• Apply pet-safe shampoos, conditioners, and other products appropriate for the pet’s coat type and skin condition.
• Demonstrate exceptional patience, compassion, and confidence when handling pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Calm anxious or nervous pets using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to animal behavior cues.
