Your role and responsibilities
As a Payroll Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring employees receive accurate and timely paychecks. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in meeting strict deadlines and maintaining accurate records. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Process Payroll Transactions: Using software, computation tools, or vendor services, ensure that time cards, attendance, and leave time are correctly processed, and applicable benefits, state and federal taxes, wage garnishments, or other deductions are accurately applied. • Maintain Accurate Records: Balance and reconcile any discrepancies found in payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations. • Meet Deadlines: Manage multiple deadlines, including pay dates and reporting periods mandated by the state and federal government, to ensure timely payment to employees. • Reconcile Discrepancies: Identify and resolve any discrepancies in payroll processing, ensuring accurate payment to employees and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required technical and professional expertise
• Payroll Processing Experience: Exposure to processing payroll transactions, including time cards, attendance, and leave time, using software, computation tools, or vendor services. • Record Keeping Expertise: Experience working with payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations, and balancing and reconciling discrepancies. • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing payroll, including tax laws and wage garnishment requirements. • Payroll Software Proficiency: Exposure to using payroll software specifically SAP or Workday, computation tools, or vendor services to process payroll transactions and manage payroll data. • Time Management Skills: Experience managing multiple deadlines, including pay dates and reporting periods, to ensure timely payment to employees.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Payroll Software Expertise: Exposure to using advanced payroll software features, including automation and reporting tools, to streamline payroll processing and improve efficiency. • Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with changing state and federal regulations governing payroll, including updates to tax laws and wage garnishment requirements. • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Experience applying analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and issues.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
