Your role and responsibilities
As an Application Architect for Commerce Transformation, you drive the strategic design and implementation of scalable, high-performance commerce platforms. You play a pivotal role in modernizing and optimizing commerce systems to support seamless customer experiences, operational agility, and business growth across digital and physical channels.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Design Commerce Architectures: Leverage deep expertise in enterprise architecture, digital commerce ecosystems, and omnichannel integration to design microservices-based architectures that align with enterprise goals and customer expectations.
• Implement End-to-End Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement end-to-end commerce solutions, ensuring they are cloud-native, resilient, and extensible.
• Select and Integrate Platforms: Choose and integrate headless commerce platforms, such as commercetools and Elastic Path, to support real-time inventory, pricing, promotions, and order management.
• Orchestrate APIs: Design and implement APIs to enable seamless integration with various systems, ensuring real-time data exchange and optimized commerce operations.
• Ensure Cloud-Native Solutions: Leverage containerization, serverless computing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure commerce solutions are cloud-native, scalable, and secure.

Required technical and professional expertise
• Deep Expertise in Enterprise Architecture: Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance commerce platforms, with a strong background in enterprise architecture, digital commerce ecosystems, and omnichannel integration.
• Technical Acumen in Microservices: Experience with designing microservices-based architectures, leveraging containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure cloud-native, resilient, and extensible commerce solutions.
• Experience with Headless Commerce Platforms: Hands-on experience with selecting and integrating headless commerce platforms, such as commercetools and Elastic Path, to support real-time inventory, pricing, promotions, and order management.
• API Orchestration and Integration: Experience in designing and implementing APIs to enable seamless integration with various systems, ensuring real-time data exchange and optimized commerce operations.
• Cloud-Native Solution Implementation: Proven experience in leveraging cloud-native technologies to ensure commerce solutions are scalable, secure, and meet enterprise goals and customer expectations.
**Please note this role requires a Federal Tier 3 Secret clearance, so you must either have one now or be eligible to obtain one after hired.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Containerization Expertise: Deep understanding of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure cloud-native commerce solutions.
• Serverless Computing Knowledge: Familiarity with serverless computing and its application in designing scalable and resilient commerce architectures.
CI/CD Pipeline Experience: Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure seamless and efficient commerce solution delivery.

For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
