Marion, IL - Illinois and Missouri: Outstanding opportunity for a Glaucoma, Cornea, or Refractive fellowship trained ophthalmologist to join a large, well-established group of 6 Ophthalmologists and a group of 27 Optometrists in Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri. We are also seeking comprehensive ophthalmologist, with similar salary if surgically productive. Our practice is a multi-specialty ophthalmological practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and optical services. Due to two retiring ophthalmologists in the field of comprehensive ophthalmology/glaucoma and cornea/refractive services this position will provide immediate clinical volume with many opportunities for surgery of up to 15-20 surgeries per week, in addition to in office procedures. The practice has the latest technology in-house, the most advanced lasers and diagnostic equipment available, along with an ultra-modern physician owned Surgery Center. There is a surgery center partnership which is very lucrative. Guaranteed salary of $550,000 - $600,000 with incentives and benefits. Opportunity to earn 7 figures. This area is known for the Shawnee National Forest with over 30 wineries and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. There are also many historic sites and museums in the vicinity. 15 minutes away from Division 1 Southern Illinois University- Carbondale as well as minor league baseball in town. The region of Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri has a population of about 700,000 including a number of excellent school districts, a variety of terrific neighborhoods, and tremendous outdoor venues. Centrally located under 1 ½ hours to St. Louis and 3 hours to Nashville, TN. Airport in town has direct flights to St. Louis and Chicago.
