- Of Counsel / Supervisory Attorney
Description
We are a Long-Term Care Medicaid consulting firm helping Texas families navigate the Medicaid application process while protecting their life savings. We work exclusively with elderly clients and their families seeking nursing home and LTC Medicaid benefits across Texas. Our team handles all client intake, case processing, documentation, and coordination.
We are seeking a Texas-licensed attorney for a part-time Of Counsel / Supervisory Attorney role to provide legal supervision and oversight of our work in compliance with Texas law. This is not a traditional law firm position. You will not be expected to develop clients, manage a caseload independently, or appear in court. Instead, you will provide legal supervision over our non-lawyer consulting team, review case strategies, and ensure our client services comply with Texas Disciplinary Rules and the Texas Human Resources Code.
This role is ideal for a solo practitioner, small firm attorney, or any licensed Texas attorney seeking predictable supplemental income with flexible, defined hours.
Requirements
- Active Texas State Bar license in good standing (required)
- Familiarity with elder law, estate planning, probate, Medicaid, or public benefits (preferred but not required — we will bring you up to speed on our processes)
- Solo practitioner or attorney at a small firm open to an outside of-counsel arrangement
- Strong ethical judgment and comfort supervising non-lawyer professionals
- Interest in serving the senior community in Texas
- NAELA membership or familiarity with LTC Medicaid planning
