Our School, Our Mission – Mountain View Middle School
Mountain View Middle School is located in East Bremerton and provides a comprehensive academic environment for 860 students, in grades 6-8, with a breathtaking view of the Olympic Mountains. The re-transformation underway at Mountain View Middle School is ongoing, but its direction is clear and compelling. No longer functioning in isolation, students, families, and staff are united in a shared commitment to creating a school environment where learning is intentional, relationships are rooted in trust, and every member of the community contributes meaningfully to collective success. Together, we have established and aligned around clear academic and behavioral expectations that are consistently upheld across all areas of the school. Through this collaborative work, we have reaffirmed a foundational belief: we are not simply a collection of individuals striving independently—we are a cohesive team, growing and achieving together.
As we continue to grow our team, we do so by drawing on the strengths of our learning community—both within our school walls and throughout the broader community. This shared strength and collective efficacy allows our team to hold the highest expectations and provide the most relevant support for every student, ensuring that excellence and equity are not only our aspirations, but the lived realities of all students and staff at Mountain View.
