Overview

Responsible for management and oversight of the overall retail operation of the Golf Shop, with the goal of providing a memorable customer service experience. Job functions include but are not limited to soft goods merchandising, ordering, promotion, inventory management, customer relations
and personal management and training.

Job Knowledge and Expectations:
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Competence to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system
• Proven ability to multi-task and manage a retail business
• Experience supervising and training salespersons
• Experience with Inventory Management
• Maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop
• Ability to Merchandise the Golf Shop on a regular basis
• Develops strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize business performance
Job Tasks
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf and golf merchandising operations
• Responsible for all soft goods merchandising and ordering
• Assists Golf Professional with strategies and reports
• Monitors the receiving and checking-in of all merchandise
• Maintains pricing and all inventory SKU controls for all items in inventory
• Supervises and maintains the POS System
• Develops and maintains golf shop displays, coordinating shop changeovers
• Assists customers with merchandise selections
• Oversees and handles procedures for special orders and returns.
• Works with staff to select and purchase products for tournaments, events and staff uniforms
• Answering the phone and booking lessons and rounds of golf
• Completes other tasks as assigned by Golf Professional
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements required
• Continuous standing and walking
