Your role and responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Professional: Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting the worldwide manufacturing operation that produces every systems product IBM sells. You will contribute to managing the processes required to get finished systems to clients, including parts supply, assembly and test processes, and the delivery network. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Perform Assembly and Test Processes: Execute the assembly and test processes for various systems products, ensuring quality and consistency in the finished goods. This involves following established procedures and guidelines to meet production targets. • Support Parts Supply Management: Assist in managing the parts supply chain to ensure timely availability of components and materials required for production. This includes coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any supply chain issues. • Maintain Delivery Network: Operate within the delivery network to ensure efficient and timely shipment of finished goods to clients. This involves collaborating with logistics teams and other stakeholders to meet delivery schedules. • Execute Equipment Recovery Processes: Perform tasks related to recovering equipment for reuse, redistribution, or disposal, following established procedures and guidelines to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.

• Assembly and Test Processes Exposure: Exposure to executing assembly and test processes for various systems products, following established procedures and guidelines to meet production targets. • Parts Supply Chain Experience: Experience working with parts supply management, including coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues. • Delivery Network Operations: Exposure to operating within a delivery network to ensure efficient and timely shipment of finished goods to clients. • Equipment Recovery Procedures: Experience working with equipment recovery processes, following established procedures and guidelines to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization. • Manufacturing Process Familiarity: Exposure to managing processes required to get finished systems to clients, including parts supply, assembly and test processes, and the delivery network.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
