- Managing Attorney
Description
The Managing Attorney is responsible for overseeing the legal services programs of the organization and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and client-centered legal representation to eligible clients. The Managing Attorney provides day-to-day leadership to legal staff, ensures compliance with all applicable rules of professional responsibility and funding requirements, and supports the organization’s mission of expanding access to justice. This position serves as the chief legal supervisor and works closely with the Executive Director on program strategy, staffing, and compliance.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience supervising attorneys or legal staff. Strong knowledge of civil legal services, access-to-justice issues, and ethical obligations. Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills. Active license to practice law in Nevada preferred. Experience working in a legal aid or nonprofit legal services organization. Familiarity with government-funded programs. Experience with housing, family law, domestic violence, consumer, and other poverty law practice areas. Bilingual or multilingual skills.
