Overview

The I-85 Driving Range is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and passionate individual to join our team as Manager & Lead Instructor. This management role will serve as the second in command, working closely with the owner, Josh, to help run and grow the business.
The ideal candidate will be a champion for our instructional programs, with a strong background in golf instruction, customer service, and team leadership.

The I-85 Driving Range is uniquely positioned between Greensboro and Durham, with significant opportunity for growth in instructional programming. We are looking for someone who is eager to make a meaningful impact, help shape our instructional offerings, and become a valued member of our golf community.

Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate (20-30 hours/week for inside sales/front desk duties)
• Additional hours and supplemental income available through teaching lessons, sales growth incentives, and meeting performance targets

Key Responsibilities:
Facility & Staff Management
• Oversee daily operations and maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep
• Manage and schedule a staff of 8-10 team members
• Assist with groundskeeping as needed
Sales & Customer Service
• Provide exceptional front desk service: greet customers, sell range balls and merchandise, and explain available services
• Upsell services including club repair, club fittings, private lessons, and clinics
• Sell new and used clubs, and schedule club fittings

Instructional Leadership
• Design, promote, and implement new youth and adult instructional programs
• Serve as the primary instructor for clinics and private lessons
• Coordinate and teach group clinics, camps, and special events
• Develop strong rapport with customers and foster a welcoming, community-focused environment

Incentive-Based Responsibilities
• Drive sales growth through effective promotion and delivery of lessons, clinics, and club fittings
• Earn bonuses and incentives for meeting sales and instructional targets

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in golf instruction (PGA/LPGA membership a plus, but not required)
• Strong knowledge and passion for the game of golf
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
• Customer-focused mindset with a drive to grow programs and sales
• Ability to integrate quickly into a unique, community-oriented golf environment
