Description
The Treasure Valley Anatomy & Physiology Laboratories (TVAPL_ Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ISU–Meridian Treasure Valley Anatomy & Physiology Laboratories (TVAPL) and ensuring a safe and effective laboratory environment that supports high-quality human anatomy education, research, and training. Key responsibilities include implementing the highest laboratory safety standards, policies, and procedures; managing the ethical procurement and disposition of human anatomical donors and specimens; actively participating in lab-based teaching and dissection; managing lab operational resources and expenditures; supporting budgeting and planning efforts; supervising staff, techs, and volunteers; and coordinating scheduling for bioskills and other professional laboratory programs. Working closely with the Director of the Labs, the Lab Manager also supports the continued expansion and strategic growth of TVAPL.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in human anatomy, biology, physiology, clinical laboratory science, exercise science, or related fields from a regionally accredited university in the USA or a USA recognized foreign university.
Minimum of three years relevant management experience in a lab-setting in higher education or health care environment that includes supervisory and budgetary experience.
Demonstrated understanding of compliance with regulations, organizational skills including setting priorities, and sound interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in human anatomical donor prosection, and comprehensive management of the anatomy laboratory facility.
Demonstrated high professional and ethical standards.
