Join our thriving restaurant and banquet facility with scenic outdoor seating! We are looking for a dedicated and creative Chef/Kitchen Manager to take ownership of our culinary operations across the dining room, live music nights, and private events. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a busy kitchen that blends day-to-day service with dynamic banquet and outdoor event work. You will be responsible for crafting seasonal, inventive menus that appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs while maintaining consistent quality and timely execution.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and update seasonal menus for dine-in service, banquet menus, and outdoor event offerings; incorporate local and sustainable ingredients when possible.
- Lead, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative, professional environment that promotes growth and accountability.
- Oversee all food preparation, presentation, and plating to ensure excellence and consistency across all service channels.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, sanitation, and safety regulations; maintain documentation and training for the team.
- Manage inventory, vendor relationships, food cost controls, and ordering to meet budget and reduce waste.
- Collaborate closely with event coordinators, front-of-house management, and production teams to execute flawless banquets and music venue events.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of culinary experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven expertise in menu planning, costing, portion control, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work calmly under pressure during high-energy events.
- Ability to adapt recipes and menus to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, and diverse guest preferences.
- Culinary degree or formal training preferred but not required; a strong portfolio and references are highly valued.
