Description
Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital is looking to add an enthusiastic and motivated Veterinary Kennel Attendant to our 8 doctor practice!Pay Range $15.25/hour
Responsibilities:
The duties of our Veterinary Kennel Attendants include general patient care and husbandry such as feeding, walking, socializing, medicating, and maintaining a clean work space.
Requirements:
- Our ideal candidate is an animal lover with compassion for all types of animals.
 - Candidate must be able to prioritize tasks, have good organizational skills, recognize problems, have clear communication, and work both independently and as part of a team.
 - The position requires morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
 
About: Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital is a busy and progressive hospital that utilizes both eastern and western medicine. The staff likes to work hard and have fun with patient care, the client experience, and employee success being the top priorities!
Key Responsibilities:
• Keeping cages clean and sanitized
• Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage etc.).
• Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals
• Interacting with cats and dogs
• Occasional bathing
Requirements:
• Must be friendly and outgoing as you may may be interacting with clients on a daily basis.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be willing and able to safely restrain or move dogs of all sizes including dogs that are over 100 pounds.
• Must be flexible with hours and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be comfortable standing, walking and being active for most of the day.
• Must be able to handle excited dogs who may bark and jump.
