Description

We are seeking a litigation associate with strong analytical ability and sound judgment to join our team. This is not a volume-driven position. You will be expected to think, write, and advocate at a high level.

While our practice is heavily focused on intellectual property litigation, prior IP experience is not required. We are prepared to train the right candidate. What matters most is that you are a skilled litigator who can quickly learn complex subject matter and operate independently.

What You Will Do:

• Draft substantive motions, briefs, and memoranda in state and federal court
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests
• Prepare witnesses and develop case strategy
• Argue hearings and manage discovery disputes
• Work directly with clients on high-stakes matters
• Learn and handle patent and trademark litigation (if not already experienced)

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Core Requirements:

• 2+ years of litigation experience (commercial, business, or complex litigation preferred)
• Excellent legal writing skills (this is non-negotiable)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and law, not just summarize them
• Comfortable taking ownership of assignments with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
• Highly Valued (but not required)
• Intellectual property litigation experience (patent, trademark, or copyright)
• Federal court experience
• Deposition and hearing experience
