Overview

Lockport Town and Country Club is a private member-owned club. Established in 1902, Lockport Town and Country Club is Lockport's premier family-oriented private club. The club features an outstanding 6,500-yard golf course playing over rolling terrain, with tree-lined fairways, well-placed bunkers, and water hazards. The club has hosted numerous local and state championship events.

The clubhouse offers both casual and fine dining, and the spacious ballroom provides an elegant setting for member events, private parties, and business functions. Other amenities include a warm-up area, Olympic-size swimming pool, and on going imprevment projects.

The club has 400 members, including 270 golf members, and plays approximately 18,000 annual rounds. The golf program offers an active schedule of member events and hosts 15 corporate/charity outings annually.

Experience Required

• Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in retail or hospitality, is preferred.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require physical effort, such as lifting and arranging merchandise.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings.

Essential Responsibilities

Phone Etiquette:

• Answer phone calls with a friendly and inviting tone.
• Assist members with booking tee times, signing up for events, and resolving any issues.

In-Person Service:

• Greet guests promptly upon entering the Pro Shop.
• Determine guests' needs and offer assistance with shopping, check-ins, event registrations, or general inquiries.
• Inform guests about special sales, promotions, and upcoming events.

Cleanliness and Presentation:

• Maintain cleanliness in the Pro Shop through regular dusting, vacuuming, and organizing.
• Ensure merchandise is neatly displayed and well-organized.
• Create a welcoming and attractive environment that encourages repeat visits.

Communication:

• Monitor and manage the live tee sheet; communicate changes to outside staff as needed.
• Accurately register members for events and ensure all details are correctly entered and communicated.
• Handle calls from the golf course and communicate pertinent information to the relevant staff members.
• Over-communicate important details to prevent misunderstandings or missed information.
