Job Description: Golf Instructor (Independent Contractor)

Facility: Heatherwoode Golf Club (Springboro, OH)

Status: Independent Contractor (1099)

Reports to: General Manager

Position Overview Heatherwoode Golf Club is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Golf Instructor to join our premier practice facility. As an independent contractor, you will have the autonomy to manage your own instructional business while leveraging Heatherwoode's high-traffic driving range, and championship short-game areas. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on building student relationships and growing the game within a supportive, high-end public facility environment.

Experience Required

Qualifications:

• PGA or LPGA Member or Associate preferred but will consider experienced professionals with a proven track record of instructional success.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to self-market and maintain a consistent book of business.
• Tech Savvy: Experience using launch monitors (GC Quad, Trackman) and video analysis software is a plus.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex swing mechanics in an accessible way.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Instructional Delivery:

• Provide high-quality private lessons, group clinics, and on-course instruction to golfers of all ages and skill levels.
• Business Management: Manage your own scheduling, billing, and student communications independently.
• Player Development: Create and promote specialized programming (e.g., Ladies' clinics, Winter Junior Academy and Junior camps) to increase engagement at the facility.
• Facility Representation: Maintain a professional presence on the lesson tee, adhering to Heatherwoode's standards of excellence and guest service.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with the Golf Operations team to ensure a seamless experience for students and minimal disruption to general range play.
