What You Will Do

• Provide short-term academic instruction, tutoring, and holistic student support to prepare eligible high school participants for successful entry into post-secondary education during the six-week program.
• Deliver instruction in core academic areas, including mathematics, science, English, and social studies, and provide targeted tutoring to address individual academic needs.
• Offer academic guidance, college readiness support, and career awareness activities.
• Assist students in developing effective study skills, time management strategies, and personal responsibility.
• Monitor student progress, document participation and outcomes, and collaborate with program staff.
• Contribute to a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement and readiness for post-secondary academic expectations.

-6-wk summer positions from 6/08/2026 and end on7/20/2026

Additional Information: This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship. International students at SIUE on F-1 or J-1 visas are not eligible for full-time or part-time civil service positions with permanent status. F-1 and J-1 visa holders must be enrolled full-time and can only apply for temporary part-time roles working 20 hours or less per week during spring and fall semesters, such as student worker positions, assistantships, and civil service extra help roles.
