POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Executive Assistant
Reports To: President & CEO
Position Type: Part-time (20 hours/week), non-exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
ACO seeks a highly organized, professional, and proactive Executive Assistant to support the President & CEO. This pivotal role ensures the President & CEO's schedule is managed effectively, high-level administrative tasks are executed with a high level of attention to detail, and relationships with internal and external stakeholders are advanced with care.
This role is based in NYC but is fully remote; we welcome candidates from any location in the US who have daily availability during the standard work day (Eastern Time).

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate has experience providing exceptional and proactive administrative support, has daily availability during work hours, enjoys engaging with many different stakeholders, and thrives in a results-driven remote work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Calendar & Travel Management
- Manage the CEO's complex calendar, including scheduling, meeting logistics, and travel arrangements.
Board & Committee
- Prepare Board and Committee materials.
Administrative & Financial
- Draft, proofread, and edit high-level correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Process expense reports, invoices, and bills.
- Serve as the primary liaison for the CEO's office.
- Maintain organized, confidential electronic and physical filing.
- Other duties as assigned
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$24 per hour

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, arts administration, business, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in arts administration
- Able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to draft professional correspondence and proofread complex documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, including use of project management software.
- High proficiency in Google Workspace required; experience with project management software preferred
- Knowledge of the classical music industry and familiarity with orchestral repertoire and commissioning preferred.
